Creamed pea and cheese puff pastry tarts with Valfrutta peas

INGREDIENTS:
  • 400g of canned Valfrutta Garden Peas, picked and canned on the same day
  • 1 roll of puff pastry
  • 2 tomino cheeses
  • 1 cup of milk
  • nutmeg
  • 1 egg
  • salt and pepper

PREPARATION:
  1. Place the milk and the pieces of tomino cheese in a small casserole and melt gently.
  2. Add the peas and crush with a fork to mix them, salt and pepper to taste and add nutmeg.
  3. Unroll the puff pastry and cut of the edges to make a square. Cut into 4 smaller squares and place the pea and cheese mixture in the centre of each.
  4. Make small cuts in the pastry with a knife and pull to obtain a mesh to seal the puff pastry. Brush the surface with egg and bake in the oven at 200° for 20'.
  5. Enjoy!
